Popcaan Not Part of Bhimfest 2025

Jamaican Dancehall star Popcaan has denied claims that he will perform at Stonebwoy’s Bhimfest 2025, prompting Stonebwoy’s team to release an official clarification to address the rumours.

Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, Head of Public Relations for Burniton Music Group, said no official announcement has been made about guest performers for this year’s Bhimfest.

Speaking to 3Entertainment’s Konxept Worae in a recent interview, she explained that the only confirmed detail so far is the concert itself, which will take place on 26 December 2025 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“Details of the guest artistes will be revealed through the event’s official channels. This will be followed by videos of artistes confirming their participation in the 10th Anniversary edition of Bhimfest,” Vida said. She urged fans to rely only on official sources for updates about the event.

Popcaan, on 29 October 2025, publicly denied any association with the festival. In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he wrote:

“To the loyal unruly fans in Ghana, I have no knowledge of me performing in Ghana Dec 26. Whenever I’m performing, you will all know, and it will be a celebration and a lifestyle moment that is long overdue. Until then, stay safe, stay strong, and stay unruly! Signed, Unruly Boss.”

His post followed the circulation of online fliers suggesting that he was part of the Bhimfest lineup, sparking widespread conversation among fans in both Ghana and Jamaica.

Founded by Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall superstar Stonebwoy, Bhimfest has become one of Ghana’s biggest annual music festivals. The event celebrates the connection between Africa and the Caribbean, featuring performances that promote unity through music and culture.

This year’s edition marks the festival’s 10th anniversary and promises to be one of the biggest yet. Organizers say the show will bring together top African and international artists for a night of music, dance, and celebration.

Over the years, Bhimfest has hosted major acts such as Busy Signal, Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, Jahmiel, 10Tik, and Spice. The 2025 edition is expected to continue that legacy of excellence while showcasing Stonebwoy’s growth as a global music icon.

Fans are encouraged to wait for official announcements before believing any promotional material circulating online.
