Regina Daniels struggling with substance abuse …says 64-year-old husband

Senator Ned Nwoko, husband of 25-year-old actress Regina Daniels, has responded after a viral video in which she alleged that he was abusing her.

The senator described her recent behavior as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage.”

In a detailed post and short video shared on his Instagram page, #princenednwoko, on Sunday, October, 19, 2025, Nwoko claimed that Regina was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, which he said was the main cause of the problems in their marriage.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.

According to Nwoko, Regina became violent in his absence, attacking staff and damaging property in their home.

“She slapped and hit three staff in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs,” he alleged.

The senator said he had suggested two rehabilitation centers for her, one in Asokoro and another in Jordan, where she would not have access to drugs. He also claimed that Regina’s situation was being worsened by some of her close friends, whom he referred to as her “drug suppliers.”

“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he said.

Nwoko’s post came just hours after PUNCH Online reported a viral video showing Regina visibly upset and shouting during an argument. In the clip, she could be heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”

Following the video, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, better known as Sammy West, reacted on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of abusing his sister. He vowed to defend her, writing, “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood.”

The true cause of the conflict remains unclear, as Regina Daniels and her team have not yet responded to the senator’s claims.

Regina Daniels married Ned Nwoko in 2019, and their relationship has always attracted public attention, partly because of the 40-year age gap between them.
