Robbers Kill Woman Over iPhone 11

TWO SUSPECTS have been arrested by the police for stabbing a woman to death because they want to steal her iPhone 11 Pro, the police has announced.

The suspects are Farouk Iddris, aged 20 years old, a motorbike mechanic and rider, and Salim Mohammed, who is also 19 years old.

The two fiendish hoodlums, reportedly, robbed iPhone 11 Pro from one Silver Ngozi, a 28-year-old female, and also stabbed her dead.

The heartbreaking incident occurred on December 6, 2025 at about 5:00 pm at Asokore Mampong. But the robbers went into hiding.

DCOP Osei Akoto told the media that the two suspects were even apprehended following an intelligence on December 12, 2025.

“A joint team from the Regional Police Headquarters and the Anti-Robbery Unit, Kumasi, arrested the suspects at their hideout at Aboabo, Kumasi.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects robbed the deceased, during which one of them allegedly stabbed her with a knife, leading to her death”.

He said a zigzag-edged knife that the suspects used to stab their victim dead and the stolen iPhone 11 Pro, have all been retrieved from the suspects as evidence.

“During interrogation both suspects admitted to committing the robbery. A search conducted in the room of Farouk Iddris led to the retrieval of a machete, knives, and other offensive weapons.

“The zigzag-edged knife has been retained for evidential purposes. Additionally, an iPhone 11 Pro, belonging to the deceased and stolen during the robbery, has been retrieved and retained as evidence”.

Suspect Salim Mohammed, who was the pillion rider on the day of the incident, he said, has identified a “zigzag-edged knife as the weapon he used to stab the deceased”.

He said “The suspects are currently in Police custody assisting with investigations and will be put before court”, adding that police are on top of the security situation in the region.
