Shai Osudoku Deserves Better: A Call For Development, Accountability And Action

Dear Honourable Member of Parliament, Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo;

 

When will Shai Osudoku receive the development it deserves?

Despite our contributions to the country’s growth, our district continues to struggle with basic infrastructure and essential services.

Our concerns include:

1. Lack of commercial banks: Residents have to travel outside the district to access basic banking services.
2. No vehicle registration centre: Vehicle owners face unnecessary inconvenience and additional transportation costs.
3. Inadequate healthcare facilities: We need a well-equipped district hospital with qualified personnel, modern equipment and emergency services.
4. Poor road networks: Many communities continue to battle deplorable roads, making transportation difficult, particularly during the rainy season.
5. Youth unemployment: Our young people need employment opportunities, skills training and support for entrepreneurship.
6. Poor drainage and sanitation: Our communities need improved drainage systems, waste management and environmental sanitation.
7. Inadequate educational infrastructure: Our schools need better facilities, learning materials and adequate support.
8. Limited commercial investment: We need deliberate efforts to attract businesses, investors and essential service providers.

Honourable MP, development should not be concentrated in a few areas while other communities are left behind.

Our people deserve good roads, quality healthcare, accessible banking, employment opportunities and infrastructure that makes everyday life easier.

We are not asking for favours. We are asking for our fair share of national development.

We therefore call on you to present a clear development agenda with practical commitments, specific projects and timelines for addressing these challenges.

Shai Osudoku is part of Ghana, and its people deserve to experience meaningful development too.

Let our voices be heard. Let our concerns be addressed. Let development reach every community. SHAI OSUDOKU DESERVES BETTER!
