Ghanaian artist Sharon Dede Padi has set a Guinness World Record for creating the world’s largest leaf print painting.
The record-breaking artwork, created using natural leaves, highlights creativity while promoting environmental awareness and the use of nature as a medium for artistic expression.
The painting was officially unveiled at the National Theatre on Thursday, March 5, 2025.
Speaking at the event, Sharon Dede Padi said the idea to attempt the record was inspired by the abundance of leaves in her community at New Tafo-Akim.
She noted that what many people consider waste in the environment can be transformed into meaningful works of art.
The achievement places Ghana on the global stage of creative arts and adds to the growing number of Guinness World Record attempts by Ghanaians.
