Shatta Wale: Stonebwoy Must Apologise to Sarkodie

Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has waded into the latest disagreement between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, calling on Stonebwoy to apologise to the rapper.

Shatta Wale addressed the issue during a TikTok Live session, where he dressed as a lawyer and presented his own verdict on the dispute between the two Ghanaian musicians.

Despite the playful appearance, Shatta Wale took the matter seriously and sided with Sarkodie. He argued that Sarkodie’s social media post, which triggered Stonebwoy’s response, was not directed at the dancehall musician.

“Stonebwoy I put it to you, that you should come and apologise to Sarkodie. Because what Sarkodie wrote on the internet he didn’t talk about you,” he said.

Shatta Wale also questioned why disagreements between established Ghanaian artistes often become public exchanges. According to him, such public disputes do little to promote the growth and image of Ghana’s music industry.

He further reminded Stonebwoy of Sarkodie’s long career and the respect he believes the rapper deserves because of his contribution to Ghanaian music.

Shatta Wale suggested that Stonebwoy’s disagreement with Sarkodie could be linked to the close relationship between himself and Sarkodie, popularly known as the ShattaSark brotherhood.

“You’re pained about the Shatta-Sark brotherhood. Sarkodie is my person. Irrespective of whatever beef I have had with him, we have a special bond. Brothers fight and still continue being related. Sarkodie’s energy gels with mine. It’s why you’re jealous. Don’t let your enmity with me cause you to disrespect Sarkodie”.

Shatta Wale ended his intervention by warning Stonebwoy to resolve the matter and apologise, suggesting that failure to do so could lead to further tension between the artistes.
