Shatta Wale’s GRINGO Is Not Music – Agyemang Prempeh

After the release of a supposed diss song  titled ‘Advice’ by Ghana’s number one rapper Michael Kwesi Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie to Shatta Wale, we had all entertainment platforms discussing the subject which include Power entertainment which airs on Saturdays from 4pm to 7pm Power  98.7 FM.

On last week’s edition of Power entertainment the award winning presenter Agyemang Prempeh in his submission said the self-acclaimed dancehall king has NO hit song in 2018.

Knowing very well about the impact of Shatta Wale’s song ‘Gringo’, Agyemang emphasized that Gringo is not a song but a movie.

‘’You can’t sing for a minute and call it a song. Almost a year that Shatta Wale joined Zylofon, he has no hit song to his credit’’ he reiterated.

Days after the release of Shatta Wale’s ‘Gringo’ video, most music fans and enthusiasts expressed their opinions on its quality.

The video which was premiered on MTVBase and Zylofon TV is a new single taken off his ‘Reign’ album. Captured in a short film, it was directed by internationally-recognized video director, Sesan Ogunro, for Film Factory and produced by David Nguyen.

The film which cast over 20 international actors in what is arguably tagged as the most expensive video shot by any homegrown artiste from Africa, was shot in the province of Blanco, Texas, USA, at the Buggy Barn Museum and cast in the 1880s.
