Support NPP’s Vision…DCE Advises Constituents

Contrary to reports around the country that some District Chief Executives (DCEs) may not performing as expected of them, reports reaching THE PUBLISHER indicate that the DCE for Dormaa West District Assembly, Hon. Mary Ameyaa, seem to be on top of her game.

Taking over office in 2017, she has been able to touch on nearly all sectors within the decentralized department of the district, especially when it comes to infrastructure and other development projects.

She attributes her resilience and effectiveness to the desire to fully support the vision of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), and called on her constituents to back the vision of the government, which according to her, is aimed at getting Ghana back on her feet.

She said, President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and NPP Government has transformed positively the prospects of Ghana through its flagship social interventions like One District One Factory, One Village One Dam, Free SHS, amongst others.

In her own little efforts to support government, Madam Ameyaa has embarked on several infrastructural and development projects.

Infrastructure

Among the interventions she has undertaken so far are the construction of a Six-unit classroom block at Kwaayeboah Krom and the erection of a Seven-Unit District Police Headquarters at Nkrankwanta.

For economic empowerment, Hon. Ameyaa says 16 lockable stores project at Nkrankwanta has seen Completion while a pavilion for Nkrankwanta daily market has also been erected.

Road network and Drains

Several Road network projects are also ongoing in the district.

They include the construction of a 25.2km Diabaa krom to Kwakuanya krom road and a 300-metre trapizolia drain.

There is also the reshaping and sectional gravelling and construction of the 1.7km road from Aprekukrom to Aboaboso, as well as a remodelling of a 6km feeder road from Nkrankwanta to Frimpong krom.

Water and Sanitation

Tackling the bane of poor sanitation while providing drinkable water for her people, she has supervised the evacuation of two refuse dumps at Nkrankwanta.

There’s also the maintenance of 20 boreholes across the district.

Housing

In the area of housing, the district has seen the construction of a three bedroom self-contain to be used as District Coordinating Director residence.

There is also the construction of two two-bedroom semi detach bungalow for officers of the Assembly and DCE.
