Proud Voltarian and Council of State Member for the Region, Hon. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple has asked all businessmen, and indigenes from the region to be deliberate about translating ideas into tangible results that will uplift the lives of all citizens in the Region.
“The conversations centred on how we can harness our natural resources, talents, and unique position of the region to drive sustainable development and create more opportunities for the youth. It is my firm conviction that this would not be a talk as usual. We need to be action-oriented and deliberate about translating ideas into tangible results that will uplift the lives of our people” he made it known at the Volta Economic Forum 2025, held at the Reddington Beach Resort in Whuti through a Facebook post on his official account.
He described the Volta corridor as one of Ghana’s most strategically endowed growth zones, where he said it is a natural intersection of trade, agriculture, tourism, logistics, and innovation that connects the coastal, middle, and northern belts while opening a gateway to Togo and the wider ECOWAS market.
He said, indigenes from the Volta Region should take the advantage and position its local economy to drive productivity, expand employment, and attract sustainable private investment.
Held under the theme “Harnessing the Volta Corridor Potentials for the 24-Hour Economy Take-Off,” the forum brought together policymakers, private investors, and local authorities to chart a coordinated strategy for regional development.
Organised in collaboration with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the 24-Hour Economy Secretariat, the forum underscored the government’s determination to move beyond rhetoric.
The Volta Economic Forum 2025 marks a significant step in repositioning the region as a pillar of Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy, signaling a future where productivity never sleeps, and where opportunity meets readiness.
