Thomas Partey misses out in Black Stars call-up

Black Stars Vice Captain, Thomas Partey has been left out of Chris Hughton’s 25-man squad for their final AFCON Qualifier against Central African Republic on September 7 with an injury.

Southampton forward, Kamaldeen Sulemana also misses out on a place in Hughton’s squad for the crucial AFCON Qualifier.

PAOK defender, Baba Rahman, Orlando Pirates Goalkeeper, Richard Ofori and Auxerre midfielder, Elisha Owusu all make a return to the team, after recovering from injuries.

Medeama SC striker Jonathan Sowah receives his first national team call-up for the game against Central African Republic.

The forward who joined Medeama in the second transfer window scored 12 goals to help them win the League title.

Black Stars Captain, Andre Ayew, who is currently without a club, maintains his place in the squad, alongside his brother, Jordan Ayew.

The game between Ghana and Central African Republic will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 7.

Meanwhile, The Black Stars will host Liberia in an International Friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

The game is expected to kick off at 3pm Ghana time.
