Tottenham Hotspur have increased their interest in Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo while Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on him, despite focusing mainly on Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
Last week, Manchester United had a £55 million bid for Mbeumo rejected by Brentford. He remains their top target, and the club is expected to return with an improved offer soon.
However, Sky Sports News reports that both United and Spurs are still interested in signing Semenyo. Tottenham, in particular, have stepped up their efforts to bring the Ghanaian forward in.
There has been talk that Brentford manager Thomas Frank may want Spurs to sign Mbeumo if he becomes their new head coach. But transfer decisions at Spurs are made by Chairman Daniel Levy, Technical Director Johan Lange, and returning consultant Fabio Paratici. So, even if Frank is appointed, it doesn’t guarantee Mbeumo will join.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also interested in Semenyo. The player is believed to prefer a club playing in the Champions League, but he has not ruled out a possible move to Manchester United.
Semenyo and Mbeumo’s futures remain uncertain as Spurs move closer to appointing Thomas Frank. His arrival could influence transfer decisions, but the final say rests with the club’s top officials.
For now, both players remain key targets for top Premier League clubs, and their next moves will likely depend on how transfer talks and coaching appointments unfold in the coming weeks.
