Tourism Ambassadors Are Without Portfolios – Dada KD

High life artiste Dada K D, who was appointed as Tourism ambassador a year ago in an interview with Sammyflex on Zylofon 102.1fm’s Showbiz agenda on Monday concerning what he has done for the Tourism industry as an ambassador said ‘’We are ambassadors without Portfolio and  can’t disclose what I have done until December’’.

According to the ‘So Mu Gye’ singer, he stressed that the ambassadors are not given executive treatment to enable them work at the best capacity.

Dada complained of the unavailability of an office for Tourism ambassadors as well as the lack of funds to support their projects.

While he tried to hold back some of his reservations on the affairs of the ministry, KD stated that he was awarded the privilege to serve in that capacity because he rallied behind the NPP government to win the elections.

The host, Sammyflex asked ‘’what have you achieved after you were given the position as Tourism ambassador and challenges you have faced so far, he said ‘’ the ministry has not laid down roles for each one of the hundred ambassadors appointed though we have been given the obligation to write proposals and do anything to help the creative arts industry.

‘’We are ambassadors without portfolio. When I say ambassadors without portfolio, I mean we don’t have an office we operate from. I personally wanted to do a project in the central region which is still in the pipeline.  I will start from December and from there, I can give more details” – he revealed.

The “Odo mu anigye” hit maker disclosed that he was awarded the honour to serve as ambassador because he supported the NPP government to win the elections.

Dada KD also suggested to established hi-life artistes take the initiative to collaborate with new entrants and elevate the genre to a different level.

‘Dada’ concluded that the current generation of musicians are blessed and have the benefits of advanced technology at their disposal to sell their works to the world via social media platforms.
