Trump Warns Iran Again

US President Donald Trump has warned that a “whole civilization will die tonight” as tensions with Iran escalate over the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump issued a strong message ahead of a deadline he set for Iran to reopen the key shipping route. He wrote: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again”.

He continued: “I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?

Trump added: “We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”

The US president gave Iran until 20:00 EDT on Tuesday (00:00 GMT Wednesday) to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global oil route.

Meanwhile, reports from Iran indicate growing violence. According to the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency, a strike on the Yahya Abad railway bridge in Kashan killed two people and injured three others. The claim, attributed to a local security official, has not yet been independently verified.

The reported attack followed a warning from the Israel Defense Forces, which advised civilians in Iran to avoid train travel “for the sake of your security.” This came a day after Trump threatened what he described as “complete demolition” of Iranian infrastructure.

At the same time, US forces have carried out new strikes on military targets on Kharg Island, Iran’s main oil export hub. A US official confirmed the operation to CBS News, stating that oil infrastructure was not targeted.

Kharg Island remains critical to Iran’s economy, as it hosts a major oil terminal. Trump had earlier suggested that the United States could take control of the island.

Casualty figures continue to rise. A US-based human rights group reports that more than 3,500 people have died in Iran since the conflict involving US and Israeli actions began, including at least 1,665 civilians.

Iran has also rejected a US-backed ceasefire proposal and presented its own demands, according to state media.
