UEW Directs 6 Officials to Step Down Over EOCO, BNI Probe

The Governing Council of the University of Education, Winneba has stated that six top officers were directed to step down due to an ongoing investigation by the Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) and the BNI.

According to a statement by the Council, this was done “without prejudice to the outcome of the issues raised at the Courts” and they have called on the public to crosscheck their facts before concluding.

“Our mandate, inter alia, is to protect public funds and property and also to ensure judicious use of funds received from both the central government and internally generated funds,” the Council said.
