Vote For ‘Papa No’ …Mahama Declares

The mystery man between actress Tracey Boakye and controversial Hiplife artist Mzbel who got the two throwing jabs at each other has finally revealed himself.

Now the search is over as the supposed high up man at the center of the controversy has appeared to accept the title despite earlier spirited attempts to ward off any connections.

It may be recalled that there was drama in Parliament on last Friday after Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah described former Deputy Energy Minister John Jinapor as “Papa no.”

This phrase ‘Papa no’ become popular on social media after actress Tracey Boakye used it repeatedly to describe a married man she claims she and musician Mzbel are in the same relationship with.

As it found its way onto the floor of parliament late Friday night as the house approved the Agyapa Royalties Limited agreement, the minority Caucus took exception to the use of the word in the House as though the papa no was in the NDC.

But just as the dust on that controversy is about settling, the Flagbearer of the opposing National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama on Monday surprised the teeming supporters of the party when he publicly described himself as the Papa No.

In the view of Mr. Mahama who was addressing the chiefs and people of Asukawkaw, in the Volta Region, Ghanaians must vote for him as Papa No, making a case for his presidential bid.

In a video circulating on social media, the Flagbearer of the opposition NDC was campaigning and told the constituency to vote for the Papa No-(that’s him), making the search for the much talked about Papa No much easier.

It is unclear whether the said Papa No who has succeeded in knocking the heads of these two celebrities together is Mr. Mahama or whether he is just using the word purely for political advantage.

The thirty seconds video captures Mr. Mahama telling NDC supports at Asukawkaw to vote for him as the Papa No and vote for his child (the party’s Parliamentary candidate) so that there would be an NDC majority in Parliament.

He was captured in the video cautioning the electorates to guard against voting skirt and blouse in the December 7 elections.

Speaking in Twi he said “when you vote for Papa No, you have to vote for the oba no (the child). So that we work for you.”
