We Will Vote for Stephen Ntim

- NPP Western Regional Delegates Declare

The loyalty and selflessness exhibited by the aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Stephen Ntim over the period of his stewardship at various levels within the party has earned him the full endorsement of delegates of the party in the Western region who have vowed to vote for him in the upcoming national elections.

According to the delegates, his loyalty, commitment and sacrifice to party activities is unparalleled and therefore will be rewarded with the chairmanship position adding “when western region decide to vote enbloc for you, then you are sure of winning the national chairmanship race. We did it for Peter Mac Manu and we are going to do it for you too”.

The delegates made the commitment during an interaction between them and the candidate; to present his vision for the party should he be given the nod as the National chairman.

The aspiring National Chairman promised to establish a welfare package for elected constituency, regional and national officers of the party if given the mandate, promising to start with a personal contribution as seed capital for the welfare fund if elected, and further promising to commit the party to making periodic payments into the fund to make it active, a statement that attracted the admiration of all present, attracting wild applause from the delegates.

He further explained that, the welfare package would be in the form of an insurance package against any misfortune in their line of duties.

Decrying the seeming neglect of party elders and the aged who have hitherto committed their lives to the party and have become indisposed as a result of their selflessness, he revealed that, he would role two policies when given the nod. He explained that he would introduce an award scheme to recognize these elders and selfless party members at the constituency level.

He revealed further that, he would put in place arrangements at every constituency to identify such dedicated and elderly members of the party and build a database for them, in order that constituency executives would be required to visit them quarterly to appreciate them; mentioning the likes of Dr. Addison, Agyenim Boateng, Da Rocha, Courage Quashiga, Adu Boahene amongst others who have served the party selflessly.

His next policy would be to end what he described as “monotony” in the electoral results of the party.

The Constituency Chairman of Effia in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Area  Nii Addy, publicly endorsed the aspiring National Chairman in the presence of delegates, though unusual for many delegates to openly do so due to fear of victimization, intimidation, accusations and public ridicule, he added that “the time for NPP to settle on the business entrepreneur was now or never”.

Nii Addy further chronicled the unsuccessful attempts made by the candidate and issues that denied him the opportunity in previous contests and appealed passionately to delegates across the country to vote for him this time round.

He indicated that the contestant “stands tall among the contestants, and is tried and tested, adding that “he has what it takes to lead the party and therefore we must not fumble or gamble this time with our votes” amidst thunderous applause.

The Deputy Western Regional Women Organizer of the party, who also openly endorsed the candidate promised to rally the female delegates to give Stephen Ayesu Ntim the nod to lead the party and has since formed the “TIME ASO” ladies in the Western Region to canvass support for the aspiring national chairman, further describing the race as a straight forward contest for Stephen Ntim, especially when the candidate has paid his dues and ought to be rewarded by delegates.

From one constituency to the other, the slogan that runs through was that the aspirant time was up for him to lead the party.

There are 26 constituencies in the western region.
