Wiyaala Thrills Dignitaries with Cheering Cultural Display

A leading Ghanaian Afro-pop Musician Mis Noella Wiyaala last Tuesday displayed rare tantalizing cultural and traditional performance that held celebrants of Ghana’s 61st Independence Day spell-bound at the Wa Jubilee Park in the Upper West Region.

The young promising female vocalist appeared with her cultural troops before the high-powered public officials made up of council of state members, government officials, school children and several dignitaries.

The Independence Day parade led by the security agencies was inspected by Mr Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, the Acting Upper West Regional Minister on behalf of President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.

The Minister said: “the stealing of public funds, continues to hold back the development of our nation. Corruption is not a partisan matter and we must all act to protect the public purse.

“With the office of the Special Prosecutor now in place, we can expect more prosecutions for corruption in the coming months and public officials, present and past, should be on notice that they would be held accountable for their stewardship of our public finances.”

Mis Wiyaala and her fans later took part of a free HIV Testing Services during at the Jubilee Park in Wa, where than 500 people participated.

The Upper West Regional Technical Support Unit of the Ghana AIDS Commission in partnership with the Ghana Health Service, the National Association of Persons Living with HIV and SG Mobile Health Service organised the exercise.
