Wontumi’s car knocks down supporters

ABOUT FIVE supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were hit by the vehicle of Bernard Antwi Boasiako.

Nicknamed ‘Wontumi’, he was attending the NPP Ashanti Regional Conference at the Baba Yara Stadium on Saturday.

Scores of supporters of Wontumi rushed towards his flashy vehicle, amid the chanting of “Chairman Wontumi still maintain!!!”

Wontumi, who was clearly enjoying the chants, stood in his vehicle as he waved to his supporters in front of the event venue.

The NPP capo, who was personally driving the vehicle, accidentally stepped on the accelerator whilst he was sitting down.

Unfortunately, about five of his dyed-in-the-wool supporters, who were in front of the car then, were knocked down.

Luckily, the affected supporters did not sustain any serious injuries. They were then supported and taken away from the road.

Wontumi, who looked miserable over the minor accident, later on drove to the Baba Yara Stadium to take part in the elections.
