Over 300,000 Fans Attend ShattaFest 2025 – Sammy Flex

Former manager of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex, has revealed that the team initially estimated a crowd of about 100,000 when they sought clearance from the police, ambulance, and fire service ahead of ShattaFest 2025.

However, the actual turnout was more than triple that number. “We didn’t anticipate the huge numbers at all. They filled the entire square, the stands and even spilled into the streets. The drone shots captured people stretching from the stadium area all the way to Osu and Tema Station. The whole place was packed,” he said in an interview with Kwame Dadzie on October 20, 2025

According to Sammy Flex, the atmosphere was “electric” throughout the night. The only challenge was occasional heat and exhaustion among the massive crowd.

“When the heat got intense, I asked the Fire Service to step in to sprinkle water on the fans. We had ambulances and five other emergency cars on standby to handle any emergencies,” he added.

Despite the overwhelming turnout, the concert ran smoothly. Sammy Flex credited the team’s quick planning and commitment.

“We planned everything in just 13 days; the decision, preparation, everything. And to see it turn out this successful shows that God truly used Shatta to bless the whole nation,” he said.

He described ShattaFest not just as a concert, but a “celebration of love” between Shatta Wale and his fans.

The show featured top Ghanaian artistes including Sarkodie, Samini, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Kelvynboy, Amerado, DarkoVibes, Tinny, JZyNo, Kwame Yogot, and DopeNation. The event, which started on October 18, lasted until the early hours of October 19, ending around 7:05 a.m.

Renowned gospel musician Sonnie Badu also praised Shatta Wale for pulling such a historic crowd.

“It’s never happened in the history of Ghana, not even on the day of our independence with Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This is huge,” he wrote on Instagram, calling for Shatta Wale’s impact to be studied.

Shatta Wale’s ShattaFest 2025 went down as one of Ghana’s biggest outdoor concerts in recent memory, drawing a record-breaking crowd that stunned even the organizers.

The massive event, held at the Black Star Square in Accra, celebrated the dancehall star’s birthday under the theme “ShattaFest 2025 x Shattabration: The King Calls.”
