Actress Beverly Afaglo Dead-Husby Choirmaster Breaks Silence in Emotional Tribute

The Ghanaian entertainment industry is reeling from the sudden loss of beloved actress and media personality Beverly Afaglo Baah, whose death was announced on Sunday, May 24, just days before what would have been her birthday on Thursday May 28.

Her death was announced by her husband, Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah, better known as Choirmaster, a former member of the popular hiplife group Praye. In an emotional Instagram post, Choirmaster broke his silence, describing the tragedy as a shattering blow.

“My heart is broken beyond repair,” he wrote. “My dear wife, Beverly, is gone.”

The grieving musician noted that her passing came just four days short of her birthday. “You would have been celebrating in just a few more days, but perhaps the Lord wanted to keep His own celebration with you,” he said.

Choirmaster poured his heart out in tribute, calling Beverly the pillar of his existence. “You were my source of strength, my joy, and the one who made my life whole. I can still hear your voice, cheering me on as always—my greatest fan. I will take care of everything we built together and keep our dreams alive. You will live in my heart forever. Rest well, my love.”

He also referred to her as a “legend,” stressing that her departure is a dark moment not only for him but for everyone who loved and respected her.

Meanwhile, speaking to Graphic Showbiz, Praye Tietia, a fellow member of the Praye group, revealed that the actress had been unwell for several weeks, though there had been hope for her recovery. He added that the family would soon release an official statement regarding her passing.

As of now, the exact circumstances and cause of death have not been made public. The family is expected to provide further details in due course.

News of her death has sparked an outpouring of grief across social media, with fans, fellow actors, and industry figures sending heartfelt condolences.
