MASSIVE WORKS are ongoing to upgrade the Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu Pitch at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region, which is intended to be used as the home ground for Ghana champions, Aduana Stars, during this year’s Africa Champions League.
The club intends to make a significant impact in the toughest competition on the continent, the paper has been reliably told. And in line with this ambition, the management of the club has decided to upgrade the Stars’ home ground for their Africa campaign.
Sources disclosed that Aduana wants to be the third Ghanaian club, after Kotoko and Hearts, to win Africa’s elite competition.
Aduana Stars, it would be recalled, won Ghana’s domestic league last season, after a keenly contested league.
It was the second league victory of the club, owned by the Paramount Chief of Dormaa Ahenkro, Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu.
It is expected that the massive works being done on the pitch, would convince Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) officials to confirm the venue for Aduana’s Africa games.
