AFCON 2019: Black Stars draws again

Coach Kwesi Appiah’s side, the Black Stars of Ghana ended their second match in the ongoing African Cup of Nations against Cameroon with a draw.

This makes them winless after their first draw game against Benin last Tuesday.

Ghana came close to sealing all three points in the closing stages when substitute Owusu Kwabena’s powerful drive crashed back off the crossbar.

However, they will now be under pressure when they face Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday in their final group game. Cameroon, meanwhile, are in pole position to qualify for the last 16 which they also face Benin on the same Tuesday.

In the 14th minute, Winger Christian Atsu limped off the field with what was a hamstring injury in the first half of  the game.

He went down after a decent run and shot in the 14th minute, immediately clutching the back of his thigh, a gesture usually associated with hamstring injury occurred.
