Africa Entrepreneurs Alliance Partners Oil Palm Development Association to Host Next Ghana Entrepreneurs Conference & Awards 2026

The Africa Entrepreneurs Alliance (AEA), in partnership with the Oil Palm Development Association of Ghana (OPDAG), will host the “THE NEXT GHANA: Entrepreneurs Building Wealth, Jobs & The Future” Business Conference & Awards 2026 in Accra on November 7 and 8.

The event, to be held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, is expected to bring together more than 600 entrepreneurs, farmers, processors, aggregators, distributors, investors, policymakers and industry leaders.

The conference will focus on Ghana’s oil-palm value chain, with particular attention to entrepreneurship, investment, processing, technology, market access and job creation.

Focus on oil-palm industry

Organisers say the conference will provide practical training for existing industry players while introducing young people and women to opportunities in the oil-palm sector.

Topics will include access to land and seedlings, financing, production, processing, value addition, quality standards and access to local and international markets.

The programme will also provide opportunities for producers to connect with potential buyers, distributors and investors.

Paul Amaning to be honoured

OPDAG President Mr. Paul Amaning will be among the industry personalities recognised during the awards programme.

He will be recognised for his contribution to the oil-palm sector and for promoting innovation through the Artisana Palm Oil App.

Other personalities expected to receive recognition include Dr. Maxwell Dodd-Comey of ORO Oil Ghana, for his contribution to promoting Ghanaian palm oil internationally.

Former OPDAG President Mr. Samuel Avaala will also be honoured for his contribution to policy advocacy in the tree-crops sector, including advocacy associated with the Tree Crops Development Authority Act, 2020 (Act 1010).

Industry stakeholders

The event will bring together stakeholders from Ghana’s major oil-palm-producing regions.

Development partners and organisations acknowledged by the organisers include Solidaridad West Africa, NERAS, Proforest and the Swiss Government through SECO.

Industry players expected to feature in the broader engagement include BOPP PLC, TOPP, GOPDC–Kings Oil, Wilmar Ghana, Juaben Oil Mills, Artisana Palm Oil, Nkulenu Industries, Ghana Home Foods and Max Commodity Ghana Limited, among others.

Two-day programme

The Business Conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, at 10:00am, while the Awards Dinner and Honourary Night will take place on Sunday, November 8, at 6:00pm.
