Agona Swedru MP Wows Over 200 Drivers/ Motorists With Free Fuel

Easter came early for driver and motor riders within the Agona East Constituency in the Central Region as they received free fuel amongst other goodies from their Member of Parliament (MP), Madam Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr.

The event which took place at Kwanyako, saw over 200 drivers and motor riders receive two gallons of fuel each, from the MP as Easter presents.

The drivers as part of the activities of the day also went through a series of free health screening with prominence on the eye.

After the screening drivers diagnosed with Optometric challenges were given free medications and lenses to aid their eye sight.

Madam Sawyer who was physically present at the event said the eye screening was meant to detect and help drivers with sight challenges so as to foster road safety in the area.

She encouraged the drivers to avoid reckless driving on road, and pledged her commitment towards improving upon the health conditions of her constituents.

This kind gesture was received with great joy from drivers and road users in the constituency.

Speaking to pressmen during the event, beneficiaries likened madam Sawyer to the mother they have never had. They showered praises on her and resolved to vote massively for her in the 2020 elections.

“We will vote for her always until she decides to quit as MP for the constituency,” some drivers assured.

According to them, the Madam Sawyer has been up to the task since she became MP of the area―bringing lifesaving initiatives to the area.

She’s been known to have single-handedly support schools in her constituency with building materials, a number of dual desks and even laptops to aid effective teaching and learning.

She has also been applauded in the past for throwing Christmas parties, seven times in roll for over 5000 children in her constituency.

According to her constituents, her kindness cannot be overemphasized. This they said have continuously won her the Agona East seat.
