Asamoah Gyan ‘swallows’ retirement; returns to Black Stars

Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan has announced his decision to return to the senior national team after 24 Hours his Retirement news broke in the media space.

The Turkey-based striker has now accepted to role of being the General Captain of the Black Stars after quitting the team over Kwesi Appiah’s decision to strip him of the captaincy.

In a press release, he mentioned a quick u-turn which he said was influenced by a conversation by the President, Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday evening.

“I have taken the request of His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in good faith, and will now make myself available for selection by coach Kwasi Appiah” the statement said.
