Assaulted Woman Speaks; I needed the Money for Survival

Patience Osafo, the woman who was brutally assaulted by a police officer at the Shiashie branch of Midland Savings and Loans has revealed that aside from being beaten mercilessly by the Police Officer, it wasnot by her wish to be beaten that way by the police officer but rather, she needed the money urgently for survival.

Recounting her ordeal, Madam Patience Osafo said ” We eat gari to bed always, my grandchild cant also eat the same gari to bed  so I always get her other essential which cost 40 cedis. I needed the money urgently to secure for the welfare of the child” .

According to her, she has been at the bank from monday to secure for her 250 cedis but all proved futile.
