AUCC TEIN elects new leaders; Ruben Oklikah becomes President

The Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) chapter of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) has elected new leaders to take control over affairs of the group for the 2023/2024 academic year.

Ruben Kofi Oklikah at the end of the voting process last Friday had more than 90 percent for the Presidency position.

Isreal Gidisu on the other hand also secured landscape victory for the Vice Presidency role. George Yawsonvineh also won the General Secretary position.

Charles Boamah Korbby secured the Organizer role, Jill Akosua Adinkrah became the Women’s Commissioner at the end of the voting process, and Zepou Godfred won for the Communication Officer position.

Ruben Kofi Oklikah reacting to his win promised a new and strong group for the school.

“I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to you for placing your trust in me during the TEIN presidential elections at AUCC. Your vote is not just a symbol of support, but a commitment to the vision we share for a better future. I am deeply honored and humbled by your confidence in me, and I promise to work tirelessly to live up to your expectations.  Thank you for being an integral part of this journey, and I look forward to working together to make positive changes at AUCC TEIN.”

He added, “There are going to be new reforms, new moves here and there, new strategy to keep our school union to the better landscape. We are going to sail through to higher stages, move AUCC TEIN to places beyond imagination. We are going to do better for ourselves, our school and our party. We are going to set the pace for trend and learning process in other schools. They are going to learn from us”.

He pledged to unite all members to ensure victory for former President Mahama in the upcoming national elections.

He said the task ahead of the party was enormous and asked the students to work harder and educate the people on the policies and programmes of the party, to enable it win power in 2024 elections.

“We have a lot of work ahead of us to do. We have to do more to make the party flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama win power in the 2024 elections. We need unity, strategy, plan more and ensure to move from house to house, all corners, preach the campaign message of the party, let everyone understand, all Ghanaians understand the NDC has better work for them. That’s my aim and with God, and my other executives, we shall succeed.”

TEIN-NDC was formed with the aim of bring together the youths of the party on the various campuses together and also to champion the course of the party.
