Beyoncé, Shatta Wale Collaboration Drops Today

The internet has been buzzing for the past 3 days following news of Shatta Wale’s collaboration with American songstress, Beyonce.

After Shatta Wale’s announcement on Twitter, fans, his colleagues, online portals among others in the industry flooded social media expressing how happy they were for the dancehall musician.

It has been described as the most high profile collaboration of his career, ‘The Lion King, The Gift’ album curated by Beyoncé which is set to be released today, July 19, 2019.

The Album has five Nigerian artistes, Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy and Wizkid, in addition is a Cameroonian and two South Africans.

The 14-song new album has Shatta Wale featured song on number 11 titled ‘Already’. It was produced by Ghana’s own GuiltyBeatz.

Congratulatory Messages

After the shock by many, former rival musicians Stonebwoy, Samini, including Obrafour and many others took to all social media pages to share their excitement on hearing the news about the ‘My Level’ hitmaker.

They further congratulated Shatta Wale for making this enormous stride in his career and urged Ghanaians and all music lovers to keep supporting Shatta Wale.

The news, which hit Ghanaians unexpectedly, has got the dancehall artiste trending at number one in Ghana and number eight worldwide.

Dedication

Upon the announcement, Shatta Wale further dedicated the good news to fellow artistes, embattled Menzgold boss Nana Appiah Mensah, his fans and many others.

Shatta Wale took to his social media on Tuesday, to express his delight with the latest achievement as he appreciated the support from all Ghanaian artistes as well as embattled Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah.

He wrote, “Thank you God for the revelation Thnx to my fans especially ..And to all the Gh artiste, this is not just for me but for all of us !!! Thanks to NAM1 and Fantasy Entertainment.”

International Recognition

Shatta Wale said it took him three days to work on the song because he wanted to do a good job.

“I represented Ghana on the international map and that is so satisfying. Among the many Ghanaian artistes, I was the only one chosen for a feature. This should tell anyone that God is blessing me and anyone who tries to fight me will fail,” he said in an interview on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda.

Asked how the collaboration is going to push his career, Shatta Wale said the impact is already being felt as he has gained more following on his social media pages since the news broke.

“We will definitely be on a tour and can you imagine a tour with someone like Beyonce. Everyone’s attention will be on me and these are the kind of deals I need to propel my career to the next level,” he added.

Guilty Beatz Produces 3 Songs

Ghanaian record producer, Ronald Banful popularly known as Guilty Beatz infused his talent, by overseeing and managing the sound recording and production of three songs, “Already”, “Find Your WayBack (Circle of Life)” and “Keys To The Kingdom” off the album.

GuiltyBeatz happened to be the only Ghanaian producer to have aided in the production of some songs on the album.

The album is inspired by the remake of Disney’s Lion King in a non-animated version in which Beyonce played the role of Nala.
