My Twin Threatened to Beat Me – Mr. P On P-Square Feud

Nigerian musician Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P and a former member of the popular music group P-Square, has made fresh allegations against his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.

Peter accused Jude of threatening to assault him during a disagreement over a property belonging to the former music group in the United States. He shared the allegations as part of a video series where he discussed the events that affected his relationship with his brother and contributed to the collapse of their music partnership.

The singer also released a video showing a physical confrontation between the two brothers. According to Peter, the incident happened in 2015 and later became clearer to him after he received information from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“This incident happened in early 2015; it started making sense to me after EFCC told me everything. Why the sudden attack?” he said.

Peter explained that the disagreement happened after he and Jude had reportedly agreed to divide the properties connected to P-Square. He claimed that one of the properties involved was a duplex located in the United States.

According to the singer, problems started when he discovered that his share of the American property had allegedly been put up for sale without his knowledge or approval. He said he confronted Jude about the issue during a music event, but the discussion quickly turned into an argument.

Peter alleged that the situation became physical and claimed Jude attempted to attack him.

“He told me to get out of his front before he slapped me. He wanted to beat me up before other artistes stepped in,” Peter Okoye alleged.

The musician also challenged claims that Jude was the main person responsible for building P-Square financially. He stated that their elder brother, Henry Okoye, provided the financial support that helped the group during its early years.

Peter further alleged that he later discovered documents that were prepared to transfer his ownership share in the United States property to Jude’s wife, Ifeoma Omokeke. He claimed that he refused to sign the documents after understanding that they would change the ownership structure of the property.

According to Mr P, Jude later insisted that he had greater control over the group’s assets and had the authority to remove him from the business.

The allegations come years after P-Square, one of Africa’s biggest music groups, split following disagreements between the two brothers. The duo, made up of Peter and Paul Okoye, enjoyed massive success across Africa and beyond before their relationship broke down.

After the split, both brothers pursued solo music careers. Peter continued as Mr P, while Paul performed under the name Rudeboy. Their disagreements have remained a major topic among fans, especially because of the group’s influence and contribution to African music.

Peter’s latest claims have renewed public discussions about the issues behind the group’s separation and the business disagreements between the brothers. While he has shared his side of the story, Jude Okoye has not publicly responded to these latest allegations.

The ongoing dispute has continued to attract attention from fans who hope the brothers can eventually resolve their differences and restore their relationship.
