Court Remands Ada-Foah Robbery Suspect

The Ada magistrate Court has remanded, John Kpodo, a 22-year-old commercial motto rider, into prison custody for his alleged involvement in a robbery operation at Ada-Foah. This was after he was identified by one of the robbery victims during an identification parade conducted by the police.

It would be recalled that three unidentified gun-wielding men, on the night of 15th June, 2018 attacked one Madam Florence Afe’togbor, wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate in the Ada-East constituency and other occupants in her house, and robbed them of an amount of CFA 8500, $1000 and GH¢3200.

But one of the victims latter identified Kpodo during a police identification parade. Subsequently, he was arraigned before the Ada Magistrate Court on Wednesday 11th June, 2018 and charged for robbery.

He, however, denied the allegation and pleaded not guilty, but the magistrate, His Lordship Isaac Adjei, remanded him into prison custody to reappear on the 31st July, 2018.
