Cow Invade Kumasi Schools

ACADEMIC WORK at the AsemCluster of Schools in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional Capital, are usually interrupted, following the constant invasion of the school premises by stray cattle.

The stray animals, reportedly, roam about the school compound, in the morning and afternoon when classes are in session.

Some of the animals often go the extent of majestically walking and defecating on the veranda of the school, much to the chagrin of authorities.

Credible reports suggest that the presence of the animals in the school compound also causes fear and panic among the pupils.

Some of the teachers that spoke to THE NEW PUBLISHER on condition of anonymity said some pupils have left the school due to the regular invasion of the cattle.

“Some parents and guardians, who are aware of the damage the huge animals can cause, have withdrawn their wards.

“The presence of the animals is gradually collapsing the school but strangely nobody is intervening”, the teachers bemoaned.

They then appealed to the city authorities to ensure that all animals in the city are caged to help avert a looming disaster.
