THE ASANTEHENE, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has urged Ghanaians to start dreaming big so as to take the country to newer heights.
Using the Asante Kingdom as a case study, he disclosed that the first King of Asante, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I, dreamt big 400 years ago.
According to him, it was the big dream of the founder of Asanteman that led to the current enviable state of the Kingdom.
“Opemsuo Osei Tutu and his friend, Komfo Anokye, dreamt big in those days and their achievement is what we are seeing today.
“In this regard, I will urge Ghana and its people to start dreaming big because with focus, every dream is attainable”, he said.
Otumfuo was addressing the attendants of a state banquet that the presidency held in his honour in Kumasi on Friday to mark his 20th anniversary on the throne.
First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings and other dignitaries were present.
President Nana Akufo-Addo said Otumfuo had paid his dues in helping to protect the peace and the growth of the state, and prayed for God’s continual guidance and protection for Otumfuo so that the state would continue to benefit from him.
