KiDi Parts Ways With Lynx Entertainment

Ghanaian highlife and Afrobeats artiste KiDi has confirmed his departure from Lynx Entertainment, ending a long-standing relationship with the label that helped launch his mainstream success.

He made the announcement during a TikTok Live session with content creator Code Micky, on May 8, 2026, where he was asked about his current record label status.

He responded, “No, I am no longer with Lynx,” and also repeated, “no, I am no longer with Lynx.” He explained that he is now an independent artiste working on his own.

KiDi joined Lynx Entertainment in 2016 after winning the 2015 MTN Hitmaker competition. Under the label, he released early songs like Say You Love Me and Odo, which helped him become popular. He later released major hits such as Enjoyment and the global hit Touch It. His albums Sugar and The Golden Boy made him one of Ghana’s top modern musicians.

He said his move to independence started around the release of Gymnastic, a collaboration with Olivetheboy and Kojo Blak. After that, he released Babylon and later Signature featuring Lasmid, which is currently getting strong airplay on radio and streaming platforms.

Since going solo, KiDi has continued to stay active in music. He is known for his smooth voice, songwriting skills, and international appeal. He has worked with several global artists and helped push Afrobeats worldwide.

His recent single Signature featuring Lasmid is currently receiving strong rotation on radio stations and digital streaming platforms across Ghana and beyond. Fans continue to show support for his new independent journey, praising his consistency and musical growth.

KiDi says he is focused on building his brand on his own terms and exploring new sounds while maintaining the style that made him popular. He remains one of the key voices in modern Afrobeats and continues to attract attention from international music listeners. His future projects are highly anticipated by fans globally.
