The West Ham player, Mohammed Kudus, is looking ahead to next season, with the 2024/25 Premier League campaign already shaping up to be a forgettable one for him and his team.
The Ghanaian forward remains hopeful for a better performance in the future despite the current struggles.
Several factors have contributed to West Ham’s disappointing campaign. Changes in management, injuries, and underperforming players have all played a role. Expectations were high at the beginning of the season, especially after the arrival of some experienced signings. Many fans believed the team could secure a spot in European competition.
Unfortunately, West Ham have struggled throughout the season, performing better than only the three relegated teams—Ipswich, Leicester, and Southampton. The team’s lackluster form has also affected individual performances, with many players unable to reach their best. Kudus, who scored eight goals last season, has only managed four this time around.
Despite the setbacks, Kudus remains hopeful. He told Sky Sports, “100% that will be the focus—pushing for a European and top-half finish. That should be the standard every season. Like I said, we take a lot of lessons from this downtime.”
He added, “Every setback, for me personally, I see it as an opportunity to grow and focus on what is ahead.” West Ham have not won a league game since February and are set to face an equally struggling Manchester United on Sunday.
