PRESIDENT NANA Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s numerous foreign trips are meant for the good of the country, says ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor.
According to him, the economy was ‘very sick’ and heading into a ditch, under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government but President Akufo-Addo turned the tides in a matter of 18 months, to the admiration of many world leaders.
He explained that the president’s efficiency in restoring life into the economy was the main reason he (Nana Addo) had been traveling a lot.
“President Akufo-Addo and his government’s professional way in saving the Ghana’s weak economy from a possible demise have been applauded all over.
“That is why in just 18 months in political office, he has been invited to several countries across the globe”, Mr. Kufuor stated recently at Koforidua.
Speaking at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Delegate’s Conference, he disclosed that the leadership of some of the countries the president visited also consulted him (president) about the secret of his performance, and stressed that: “His foreign trips are meant for Ghana’s good”.
