Kumasi Military Hospital Ready 2021

The Military Hospital project, currently under construction at Afari, near Kumasi, is expected to be completed in 2021, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, the Minister of Health has announced.

Mr. Agyeman Manu said the facility would contribute to boost healthcare delivery in Kumasi and the Ashanti region.

According to him, work is progressing at the Afari site to his delight, announcing that the project has been projected to be completed in one-year time.

The Health Minister also announced that the Sewua Ashanti Regional Hospital project would be completed and handed over in 2021.

Still on ongoing health projects in the region, he said the Konongo Government Hospital project is also progressing and it would be completed in 2021.

Speaking during a sod-cutting ceremony at KATH in Kumasi for the completion of an MBU project, the minister said government is delivering.

According to him, the health sector, especially in the area of infrastructural development, has witnessed massive improvement under the NPP government.

Kwaku Agyeman Manu also disclosed that similar hospital projects at Tepa, Bekwai, Fomena and Kumawu, would be completed by the close of 2020.

He said those that are spreading falsehood that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration had abandoned health projects inherited from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led government are simply being mischevious.

According to him, President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government has done more than enough to improve health facilities nationwide in just three years.

The Health Minister said government would not relent on its efforts to provide health facilities to all the districts in the country to make life comfortable for the people.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister were there.
