Kwaw Kese Ends Beef with Shatta Wale

Rapper Kwaw Kese has declared that he is no longer interested in engaging in any rivalry with dancehall musician Shatta Wale, saying he wants to maintain a good relationship with his fellow musician and benefit from his success.

Kwaw Kese described Shatta Wale as his “school son” and acknowledged that the dancehall musician had made more money than him. He said he now wanted to tap into Shatta Wale’s blessings rather than engage in a feud with him.

“From today going, I am not beefing with Shatta Wale. He is my school son. Now he has made more money than me, so I want to tap into his blessings,” he said.

The “Awoyo Sofo” hitmaker also clarified that his friendship with fellow dancehall musician Stonebwoy does not mean he has a problem with Shatta Wale or rapper Sarkodie.

He stressed that he was not involved in any feud with any musician and wanted to maintain good relationships within the music industry.

“I am not beefing with Shatta Wale, I am not beefing with Sarkodie, and I am not beefing with anybody. Stonebwoy is my man, but that doesn’t mean I am beefing with anybody,” he said.

The rapper also appealed to Shatta Wale’s fan base, Shatta Movement, to support his music and attend his shows instead of treating him as an enemy because of the perceived rivalry between the two musicians.

He urged the fans to stream his songs whenever he releases new music and attend his events whenever he organises them.

“Shatta Movement, I am not beefing with anybody, so if I drop my song, you people for stream am. If I dey do my show, you for show up,” Kwaw Kese stated.

His appeal comes as he seeks to put an end to the perceived tension between him and Shatta Wale and build a better relationship with the dancehall musician’s supporters.

Kwaw Kese has also expressed his willingness to perform at Shatta Wale’s upcoming ShattaFest, scheduled for October 17, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium, if he receives an invitation.

He maintained that he believed the problem was mainly with some members of Shatta Movement rather than Shatta Wale himself.

“If Shatta Wale agrees, I go come perform for ShattaFest. Ebi SM wey dey cause the problem. Shatta Wale doesn’t have a problem with me,” he added.
