Mahama Warned Me Over Nana

FOUL-MOUTHED National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, Appiah Stadium has disclosed that, former president John Dramani Mahama warned him to desist from verbally attacking President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to him, the former president threatened to disown him because he is not in support of his abuse on President Nana Addo.

Police in the Ashanti Region last year arrested Appiah Stadium for describing President Nana Addo as an “Ape” and a “marijuana” [wee] smoker.

He was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Accra for further interrogation – but the presidency later issued a communiqué that the president is not ‘interested’ in the case so he should be set free.

However in an interview on UTV,  Appiah Stadium said Mr. Mahama was angry at him for deciding to take President Nana Akufo-Addo to the cleaners.
“My father, John Dramani Mahama became extremely angry at me for insulting President Nana Akufo-Addo, who is the president of our land.
“In fact, Mr. Mahama warned me that he would not spare me if I dare open my mouth against President Nana Akufo-Addo and I have taken his wise counsel”. – he said.
Appiah Stadium was once an outspoken member of the NPP in Kumasi, where he openly defended the the Kufuor-led NPP government on radio.
He, however, caused a stir as he crossed carpet from the NPP to join the NDC after the party emerged winners in the 2008 presidential election.
