NAPO Gets Leadership Award

The Minister for Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’, has been honoured for his exemplary leadership style at his ministry, which has contributed towards uplifting education standards in the country.

MCJOY Advertising Company Limited presented the prestigious award to Napo, who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia South constituency, at the Plush Golden Tulip in Kumasi on Tuesday.

The minister, who is currently outside the country, was represented by his deputy, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.

According to the organizers of the Awards, Napo had proven that he was such a highly competent and affective leader, especially with the introduction of the famous free Senior High School (SHS) programme.

The event, dubbed: ‘African Quality Awards 2018’, also saw other distinguished personalities who had excelled in their various fields in the country, being honoured.

These personalities included the Chairman of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Serebuo, the Juabenhene, Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, the deputy Minister of Education, COP Ken Yeboah, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Mad Hanna Afranie, a Midwife, the Jackson Foundation, Michael Nsowah, Chairman, GES Council, just to mention a few.

Michael Nana Ampong, Founding President, MCJOY Advertising, said he introduced the awards six years ago to help change the practice in the country, where great people are honoured only after they had died.
