NDC HAWK ‘KILLERS’ ON THE RUN

THE ASHANTI Regional Police Command are hunting for four suspects in connection with the shooting to death of a National Democratic Congress (NDC) member.
They suspects are Warrior, Damus, Mijima and Abu Taliban, who are all members of the Hawks, a deadly vigilante group in the NDC in Kumasi.
Abdul Wasiu, 35, died after he was shot six times in the stomach and other parts of his body in public in front of the Ashanti Regional NDC office on Monday.
One Abdul Rahman aka ‘West’, is battling for his life at the Komfo Anokye a teaching Hospital after he was shot three times by the same bloody thirsty hoodlums.
Wasiu and West are said to be members of the NDC Taskforce, another vigilante group in the largest opposition political party in the country.
There is a longstanding feud between the Hawks and the NDC Taskforce and it sadly translated into shooting that led to the death of Wasiu.
NDC National Chairman, Ofosu Ampofo, General Secretary, Asiedu Nketiah and other members, took to their heels following the shooting.
The party kingpins were in Kumasi to resolve a dispute between the two deadly NDC vigilante groups at the NDC office but things went from bad to worse.
The members of the Hawks, reportedly, fired series of gunshots at Wasiu, sending him crashing down and resulting in his instant death in front of the NDC office.
West, who was at the scene, tried to snatch the gun from the trigger-happy thugs but he ended being fired three times to put his life in danger.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has assured that they would do everything possible to apprehend the four suspects to assist in investigations.
Meanwhile, other sources said the police have picked vital information about additional suspects and in due time they would also be declared wanted.
