Nii Lantey Wants Kejetia Project In Accra

HON NII Lantey Vanderpuiye says he desires to see Accra also getting a modern bus terminal, similar to that of the Kejetia Bus Terminal in Kumasi.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Odododiodoo Constituency made the disclosure in Kumasi a few days ago when the Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government and Rural Development inspected the project site.

The lawmaker noted that the terminal, aside helping to beautify the skyline of Kumasi, would also help to boost trading and business activities in the city.

“This is a great edifice as it has totally changed the face of Kumasi. I must confess that it is my wish that Accra will also get such a project soon.

“Markets in Accra like Kantamanto, Makola and Agbogbloshie, which are all looking old, deserve to be upgraded into a modern edifice like Kejetia, he disclosed”

Describing the project as one of the best things ever to happen to Kumasi and Ghana, the MP commended the contractor for doing a splendid job so far and called for the early completion of the second and third phases.
