Odike fingers Nana Addo over impotency

Popular politician and businessman, Akwasi Addai, nicknamed Odike’ of the United Progressive Party (UPP) fame, has said there is a direct link between economic hardship and the inability of men to satisfy their sexual partners.

Odike, in a rather interesting twist, has said President Nana Akufo-Addo should be solely blamed if there are men in Ghana who have developed erectile dysfunction or lost interest in sex entirely due to the rising cost of living, rising cost of fuel and utility services and instability of the currency.

“You can only have good sex by satisfying your wife or fiancée in bed when the economy of the country is good and things are working properly for you as a man.

“But if the economy is in bad shape just like ours, how can you have a peace of mind and good erection to satisfy your wife”, Odike noted on Akoma FM in Kumasi.

He continued: “this is why I am saying that any man that is unable to satisfy his wife or fiancée in bed, should direct the blame right at the doorstep of President Akufo-Addo”.

According to Odike, nothing good seemed to be happening in the country now, stressing that the country was being poorly managed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo.

The UPP leader said he agrees with President Akufo-Addo’s famous speech that “Ghana is sitting on money”, noting that “we are suffering because of bad leadership”.

Odike, who has constantly attacked the NPP administration, said he doesn’t hate President Akufo-Addo, stressing “I only speak against his bad policies in office”.

Odike has over the years remained a consistent critic of Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP and called for an amendment on portions of the 1992 Republican Constitution which he says gives too much powers to the President.

He has publicly advocated for the Constitution to be reviewed and amended to suit modern democratic standards of governance as conforms with best practices around the world.

“This current Ghana constitution is porous as it gives too much powers to the president and this doesn’t augur well for the democratic system that we are practicing now. This constitution gives room for corruption, which is a canker, that we should do away with in order to ensure acceleration transformation of the country”, Odike said in a previous interview with same station.

“I will lead the processes, as president, for the constitution to be changed in order to transfer much more power that the president enjoy now and rather give it to the people. The constitution also tends to make the president an autocratic leader as they become like thin gods and it must be changed”, the UPP leader noted.

“In the area of infrastructure, both the NPP and the NDC have failed miserably. They make too much noise but in actual fact, these two political parties have failed.

“As president of Ghana, I will never borrow to build toilet projects as some people are doing now”, Odike said, adding “I will borrow to support local entrepreneurs”.
