Poet Agyemang Berko tribute to late Nana Turkson

Three days ago marked a week, death laid it’s icy hands on entertainment luminary and author Nana Turkson. Nana Turkson until his death was one of the finest brains to have emerged on the entertainment scene and doubled as author of the famous “Success Journal“.

Lot’s of musicians and entertainment journalists as well as critics have paid tributes to the man who lived his life for the industry.

Kwame Agyemang Berko, an astute poet and entertainment luminary has also paid a glowing tribute to Nana Turkson. In a post on Facebook, the bubbly and outspoken Kwame writes in a fashion which clearly shows the grief the demise of the oak tree which has fallen has caused.

“It’s been only a week Sir. Just An ordinary Fucking Week, Bertrand.
And it is not just I who is weak. Worse, I needn’t be shedding these tears at this hour Nana . . .

But this your curtseying just when your hard earned applause was going to erupt and plateau for ever, cuts deep my King. It pierces way too deep Big Brother”. he wrote.

Dear Nana Turkson,

It been a week already you know . . . And you know from your perch in the hereafter, that I have been very weak, and as yet, been unable to muster enough befitting words to come to terms with this your ice cold terminal prank.

Can you please rouse from this slumber? Like the carpenter’s son did?

It’s been only a week Sir. Just An ordinary Fucking Week, Bertrand.
And it is not just I who is weak.
Worse, I needn’t be shedding these tears at this hour Nana . . .

But this your curtseying just when your hard earned applause was going to erupt and plateau for ever, cuts deep my King. It pierces way too deep Big Brother.
This your transition, this your abrupt choice to bow off this sorry life’s stage . . .

But, as is our custom, Hammer and Ashis have summoned me from my perch up the ridge, that I descend down into your mums home on this day so we honor your household and their gallant contribution towards national development. How dare me not heed their calls?
For most, and on this day, they get confirmation of date slated for final ceremonies that shall mark your curtains being drawn.

But for a privileged few and I, today marks the official launch of our Success Journal to your toils. . .

Hark, no King has EVER died Nana. . . Maybe it makes more sense that your Facebook name remains ‘Bertrand King’.

One day at a time Sir Rasta . . . Keeping on watching Big Brother.
