According to JJ Akufo-Addo Abanoma, the party and its leaders have abandoned him after he had campaigned hard to help win the 2016 presidential polls.

He lamented that hunger was killing him slowly barely one-year after his beloved NPP ascended the presidential throne so he has decided to quit the party and make his exit a public one.
