Pregnant Woman Knifed To Death

A 29 year old woman has been arrested by the police on suspicion she had murdered a pregnant woman in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, of the Ashanti region.

The suspect, identified as Adwoa Pokuah, is being questioned by the security agencies over the death of Akosua Attaa, 22.

According to police sources, the deceased and suspect lived at Aburaso, in the Atwima Kwanwoma District.

On Saturday afternoon, pregnant Akosua Attaa was found on the ground unconscious, so she was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment.

On arrival at the hospital, medical personnel, were reported to have found knife wounds on some parts of her body so they decided to treat her.

Sadly, Akosua Attaa gave up the ghost few minutes after being rushed to the hospital as all efforts to help save her life proved futile.

Police later gathered that Adwoa Pokua may have stabbed Akosua Attaa after a slight misunderstanding same day. The Pokua was arrested to help in investigations into the case.

The body of the deceased has been dumped in the morgue for autopsy, as police continue to question the suspect, Adwoa Pokuah, when the story was being filed. More soon.
