Rema to Headline 2026 World Cup

Popular Nigerian musician Rema is set to headline the 2026 World Cup in Los Angeles.

FIFA announced this in an Instagram post while revealing the list of artistes scheduled to perform at the tournament. Rema is billed to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony on June 12, 2026, alongside global stars LISA, Katy Perry, Tyla, Future, and Anitta.

FIFA explained that the lineup reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the influence of its many diasporas. The organisation also noted that it highlights how music and entertainment bring people together across different cultures.

The official tournament anthem, titled “Dai Dai”, will be released on May 14. It is performed by Nigerian singer Burna Boy and Colombian superstar Shakira.

In addition, FIFA has confirmed that the World Cup final will include a first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show. The show will be curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and is scheduled for July 19.

The announcement has generated excitement among fans worldwide, as the tournament continues to blend football with global music and entertainment.
