Salt 95.9 FM CEO Sues Rev. Obofuor Over Debt

The Chief Executive of Salt Media GH, operators of Salt 95.9 FM in Agogo has dragged Founder and leader of the Anointed Chapel Palace, Rev. Francis Kweku Agyei Antwi popularly known as Reverend Obofour before an Accra High Court over a GH¢190,000 debt.

The plaintiff, Charles Frimpong insists that the man of God become indebted to him when he supplied the defendant with three power plants and transmitters for his use.

According to the Salt FM CEO, the defendant later requested to be supplied a transmitter at a cost of GH¢ 90,000 but paid GH¢ 40,000 as part of the cost, leaving a balance of GH¢ 50,000.

Lawyers of the plaintiff further argued that after an assessment on the power plants, the defendant requested the plaintiff to deliver another equipment at the same cost taking the total sum owed the plaintiff to GH¢ 140,000.

In the writ of summons against Rev. Obofour, the Businessman alleged that efforts to retrieve the monies owed him by the popular pastor have proven futile hence the decision to drag the pastor to court.

According to the plaintiff, he supplied the defendant with the said power plants in March 2019.

The Plaintiff stated that he delivered the Power Plant to the defendant together with his cousin, one Oppong Eric at the defendant’s church in Achimota, Accra.

The document stated that when the plants were delivered, the engine was started in the presence of the Defendant for his assessment adding that the “Defendant thereafter conducted the necessary checks on the plant and requested to use the equipment for a few days to test its efficacy before payment.”

The Plaintiff is therefore praying to the Accra High Court to assist him in retrieving GH¢190,000 owed him by the defendant, Rev. Obofuor.
