Sex & Porn Parties Banned

Sex parties that involves orgies, gang-banging and other forms of wild fantasies have been on a gradual but steady rise in Ghana but it seems it has just caught the attention of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) that has threatened to invoke the Tourism Act 2011, Act 817 against such parties.

It took a poster of one of such organized sex parties for the GTA to know ‘what time it is’ and then in the characteristic knee-jerk reaction, rush to the advertised venue, a hotel perched somewhere at Gbawe, in the outskirts of Accra, to close the place down.

The porn-party advert poster had stated that persons that attend would be treated to all forms of sexual acts including threesome, blowjobs, and various forms of sex positions.

Aside the normal ticket to enter, patrons that would want a blow job would be made charged an additional amount of GHC50 while persons who actually want to have proper sex would be charged an extra fee of GHC100.

As intriguing as it sounds, THE PUBLISHER has gathered that such sex parties have become popular among the youth and are often very well patronized.

Subsequently, the GTA, after closing down the hotel, issued a statement on the matter and described such events as illegal, dishonorable, unsound and improper.

“The Authority wishes to remind all stakeholders and the public that it will not hesitate to invoke the relevant sections of its establishment Act on Advertisement and Promotion to bring all illegal acts and any perpetrator to book.”

The statement said the GTA “will continue to work with the Police Service and other Security Agencies to close down and prosecute tourism enterprises and event organizers involved in these acts that cast a slur on the image of Ghana”.

“The Authority will stop at nothing to sanitize the industry towards promotion and marketing Ghana as a safe and sustainable tourism destination.”
