Tepahene Condemns Tramadol Abuse

• Calls For Gov’t Action

THE PARAMOUNT Chief for Tepa, in the Ashanti region, Nana Adusei Atwenewa Ampem I, has openly decried the devastating effects of Tramadol on the youth of the country.

He observed with concern that the abuse of the drug is serving as bad influence on most of the youth, who are quickly being turned into hardened criminals, because of its negative effect.

The Tepa Traditional leader said, “unfortunately, most of the youth in the country, who are the future leaders, have made the use the Tramadol, their habit, in recent times.”

According to him, users of Tramadol become hyper so they easily commit dangerous and mind-blowing crimes of various degrees, most especially armed robbery and killings.

Nana Atwenewa Ampem I therefore appealed passionately to government to quickly come out with strict laws that would control the use of Tramadol to help reduce crime rate.

Without mincing words, he stated that crime rate in the country had increased lately; basically because of the bad influence that Tramadol has on the users of the drug.

The Tepa traditional leader also warned the youth against the use of other narcotic drugs such as the smoking of wee and cocaine, since such actions can ruin their life.

Nana Antwenewa Ampem I said the youth are supposed to be the leaders of the state therefore every effort should be made to help protect their lives and their future.
