The Revolution Of Gospel Music In This End Time Is Positive – Nii Dowuona

Concerns have been expressed lately about the behaviour of some Gospel artistes, which has been described as unbecoming of people expected to propagate God’s word.

It has however been questioned by Gospel musician Nii Dowuona, and has asked people not to be moved by others’ ability to sing.

This is because it takes more than just a good voice to be a Gospel artiste and not every one of them has been called by God.

“I believe this so very much because I recall I had an event and before my performance, a choir came to sing very beautifully. After the show, we had to go and grab something to eat and to my surprise I saw the choristers taking their robes off, pulling out cigarettes and alcohol and I was shocked.

“I went to ask them if they knew what they were doing was wrong and to my amazement, they answered that they were not Christians but only singers.

“Some said, they sang because they have the voice and people encouraged them to join the choir but they were not believers of the things of God or Christians.I had another experience recently as well so yes it is not every Gospel artiste that is called by God,” he said in an interview with The New Publisher.

A call from God into ministry is a call every individual must be proud of and count it as a blessing. Gospel musician Nii Dowuona is however counting his blessings to have received and heeded that call.

A decade after heeding that call, Nii Dowuona is set to celebrate that milestone with a mammoth concert on December 1.

As it will become an annual ritual, the ‘Gye Me Di’  hitmaker would be holding the ‘Christian Gospel Revolution(CGR)’ concert to thank God for his many blessings.

The first edition, will see some of Ghana’s biggest artistes including Lama, Selina Boateng, Mouha, Mr. O Morphat, Rev. Okasse Lamptey, Charlotte, Pastor Edwin Dadson, to take the stage to thrill patrons to unforgettable tunes and worship.

“God has been faithful to us and I believe that the time has come for us to showcase the excellence that we are also made of when it comes to the arts. The concert promises to be a spirit-filled and divine atmosphere of soul-lifting praise and worship interspersed with prayer.” he indicated concerning the upcoming show.

This year’s concert under the theme ‘To The Four Corners Of The World’ is organised by Nii Dowuona Music in collaboration with Under Fire Records.
